Leslie Had to struggle for life since she was born. She was the sixth of seven siblings.
Her mother´s favorite daugthers were the prettiest ones and Leslie wasn´t one of them so she was treated in a worse way or even mistreated.
She told me once that when she was a child, she used to hide behind the corridor door and cry for hours.
She were already young when she emancipated: she needed to scape from that house so she married the wrong man
Arturo wasn´t a good husbad so that he ignored Leslie´s problems and left her alone when she suffered her first cancer.
She studied a lot and learnt to play many musical instruments. She was the most cultivated person I´ve ever known and she taugh me lots of things.
My biological mother is a feckless person so Leslie have always been the good example that inspires me. We had a very close friendship
As a consequence of a backward medication, she had another two cancers, but she fought until the last day.
I´m sure that anyone would prefer the death before a life like that, and that´s why I found Leslie an extraordinary person: I´ve never seen her without a smile in her face trying to share it with us instead of sadness.
Part 2, the letter:
Dear Leslie, as you know, I´m not a believer, but there is a reason why I wish the existence of a second life. It´s you. I miss you. I miss your jokes, our games... and I would like to be able to thank you again for letting me grow up in a better way.
You changed me a lot.
You´re the first close person I´ve ever lost and I can´t stand the hankering.
Someone like you deserves to remain forever instead of suffer and die too young.
When I study phylosofers attempts to demonstrate or prove the existence of god, I think that my only argument is that a divine justice wouldn´t let you suffer as you did.
Thank you for sharing your last years with me.
